Adult Faith Formation
Saint Gabriel’s is committed to the ongoing catechesis and formation of its adult parishioners, and offers several opportunities for adults to engage with their faith. On this topic Fr. Eric sates, “As a priest I endeavor to help people interact with their faith on a deep level, and discover diverse ways of praying”.
Women’s Bible Study meets Wednesdays at 10:00am in the Library, and is led by parishioners. This Bible study is a discussion-based round table time of reflection, study, and interpretation. Women of all ages are kindly invited.
Rector’s Book Group takes place roughly each season throughout the year and meets in the Library Tuesdays at 11:00AM. Father Eric chooses books and leads courses on varying topics. From church history and theology to spirituality and prayer anything is on the table. These subject oriented sessions are times filled with rich self-discovery and engaging conversation.
Faith Forum takes place Wednesdays at 7:00pm, and is an ongoing adult formation hour following the Rooted Service. Course topics are diverse and range from theological discourse and in-depth Biblical study, to forums on social issues and global Anglicanism.
Advent and Lenten Discussion Groups take Place each year and often follow the yearly Living Compass Living Well book series. Courses are either self-led or led by the Rector.
