Worship Services
Whether you were born with a Prayerbook in your hands or are a seeker with little to no experience with religion, you are invited to come worship God in the beauty of holiness with us. Saint Gabriel’s celebrates the fullness of the Church calendar throughout the year. As an Episcopal Parish, we follow the liturgical calendar, and mark the seasons of Advent, Christmas, Epiphany, Lent, Holy Week, Easter, and Ordinary Time. Many special Saint’s Days and Feast Day’s are celebrated in their fullness— from Our Lady of Walsingham Day and Michaelmas to Candlemas and Rogation Days.
Sundays
8:00am — Rite One Holy Communion in the Chapel
This service is a very traditional (Elizabethan English) Prayerbook service of word and sacrament. Scriptural readings are drawn from both the King James’ Bible and the beloved Coverdale Psalter. Many anglophiles and Prayerbook enthusiasts will feel very comfortable at this service.
10:00am — Rite Two Holy Communion in the Church
This more contemporary worship service is drawn from the Prayerbook and other supplemental texts from the Episcopal Church and the global Anglican Communion. 10:00am is complimented by a full choir and music from traditional and contemporary sources.
Wednesdays
12:00Noon — Anglican Rosary
This simple 30 minute prayer service takes place in the chapel, and is an intentional time of contemplation and intercession. Anglican prayer beads are provided for those who do not own any.
6:00pm — Rooted
This 45 minute peaceful Anglican worship experience takes place in the main church. This service is drawn from old Celtic Christian sources and other texts from within our tradition. Music is drawn from both modern Christian music and beloved hymns. The theme of this service is listening for God, and visitors will discover a candlelit calming atmosphere of poetry, story, and silence. Communion takes place monthly.
